An Apothecary for patients in needCannatonics Society specializes in strains with higher Cannabidiol (CBD) Medical Marijuana which has been proven to relieve convulsions, inflammation, anxiety, and nausea, and to inhibit cancer cell growth.
Cannatonics Society has been one of Western Washington’s largest Collective Gardens since the legalization of medical marijuana in the state. Because of the sheer number of patients they see daily and the amount of time it takes to see each, they needed a way to cut that lobby wait time. The Collective wanted a way to highlight and provide information on the apothecary items that they offered patients as well as show off the collective itself’s aesthetics.
DESIGN & EXPERIENCE
Outside of a logo, the collective lacked any type of singular branding, so first we sat down to get an idea of what made this collective so very different from the hundreds of others that can be found in Washington. Cannatonics Society is 1930’s styled Apothecary (Cool, right?!). Using that style in mind we sat down with the owners to pick out textures and fonts reminiscent of that time period. We combined those with some colors that already existed in the interior design of the collective garden and everything else just fell into place.
MOBILITY IN MIND
Many Collective Gardens receive new patients in two ways: a doctors referral or by patients searching to discover the closest garden in proximity to their location via Google Local Search. Because of this the website needed to not only look great on mobile devices, but also be optimized for local categories in search engines to maximize new patient recruitment reach.
WHAT CAME NEXT?
Social Media & Citation Campaigns were started help dominate local searches. Success was tracked on a monthly basis in reports that helped guide future goals.
